Automation Software QA Tester

Responsibilities

As Software Quality Assurance Tester, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Take ownership of creating, maintaining, and executing test cases.
  • Provide input during the functional analysis phase to determine the appropriate level of test cases needed.
  • Offer support during grooming sessions, retrospectives, and demos to ensure testing considerations are addressed.
  • Test APIs independently of the front-end using tools like Postman or similar.
  • Define payloads, endpoints, and assessing JSON responses.
  • Do performance testing and load testing APIs.
  • Test web interfaces and fat client applications.
  • Familiarity with injection testing into form fields for security assessment.
  • Understanding of navigation rules, technical session content, and browser behaviors.
  • Capability in performance testing of front-end applications.
  • Work with dashboards using tools like Kibana and Grafana.
  • Implement alerting mechanisms for performance and behavioral anomalies.
  • Review alert, warning, error message. Make sure with service delivery department they match their requirements.

Profile

As Software Quality Assurance Tester, you have:

  • Experience in regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain intact.
  • Good knowledge in the following testing tools is a big advantage: Jira, Selenium, LoadRunner, Postman, Jam, Mantis or SoapUI.
  • Good knowledge in Gitlab CICD for creating automated testing jobs when necessary.
  • A good experience in test automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • A good understanding in databases like Mongo, DB2, and Oracle to search and assess data for testing purposes.
