Bid Manager

Your Responsibilities

As Bid Manager, your key responsibilities include:

Tender Detection and Analysis

  • Identify relevant published tenders related to speos’ capabilities (supported by bpost).
  • Review tender documents to extract key requirements and assess project feasibility.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to determine which tenders to pursue.

Bid Preparation

  • Organize and set up the response process to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Coordinate contributions from internal and external stakeholders, including preparing pricing, administrative documentation, and reports.
  • Ensure a streamlined bid process to deliver proposals on time.

Proposal Writing and Structuring

  • Under the sponsorship of the Key Account Manager (KAM), craft compelling and clear commercial and technical proposals that align with the client’s expectations.
  • Deliver qualitative, impactful, and winning proposals consistent with the commercial strategy defined by the KAM.

Key Sales Team Support

  • Act as a trusted partner to the Sales team, supporting Key Account Managers in the pre-tender phase, during negotiations, and throughout the selling process.
  • Manage Q&A processes with customers and prepare final submission documents to maximize success.

End-to-End Bid Process Management

  • Lead the bid process from start to finish, ensuring high-quality outputs at every stage.

Follow-up and Performance Analysis

  • Provide feedback after each submission and analyze performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor practices to refine bidding strategies.

Your Profile

  • A Master’s degree (Business School, Engineering, or University) or equivalent experience.
  • Ideally, 3 years of relevant experience in bid management or related activities (e.g., purchasing, pricing, legal, or sales).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Attention to details and assertiveness.
  • Ideally, knowledge of IT and document management environments.
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to communicate and present ideas effectively.
  • Fluency in Dutch, French, and English.
