QHSE Officer

Responsibilities

As QHSE Officer, your responsibilities will include :

Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and other requirements (standards, internal policies, etc.) in the field of quality, safety, health and the environment (QHSE)

  • Implementing the company’s QHSE policy in collaboration with the manager.
  • Keeping abreast of legislation relating to the Welfare Code and the environment.
  • Monitor compliance with standards.
  • Creating and/or updating QHSE system documentation in accordance with current standards.

Promoting a QHSE culture within the organisation

  • Communicating, raising awareness and training employees on QHSE issues (e.g. FSC standards, etc.) and well-being in the workplace.
  • Provide advice and answer questions relating to QHSE.
  • Supporting management in risk analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.

Participate in continuous improvement in the QHSE field

  • Identifying risks and proposing corrective action with a view to continuous improvement of the QHSE system.
  • Analysing activity-related data, including complaints and major incidents, and proposing and implementing the necessary improvements to reduce or eliminate risks.
  • Coordinating, supporting and monitoring internal and external audits.
  • Ensuring that action plans are properly implemented (e.g. incidents, audits, continuity plans, etc.)
  • Contribute to and/or draw up reports required for QHSE activities
  • Studying, analysing and recommending any new certification that may be useful to the company
  • Participates in and/or takes charge of internal/external QHSE projects and initiatives (e.g. STWD missions, etc.)

 

Profile

As QHSE Officer, you will :

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience.
  • A good knowledge of ISO standards
  • Knowledge of the welfare code and environmental legislation
  • Skills in quality management, auditing, control and certification
  • Stakeholder management and change management skills
  • Very good command of French and basic knowledge of Dutch and/or English
  • Excellent writing skills

 

And you are also :

  • You are capable of planning and organising your work according to priorities, and you are a self-starter.
  • Able to process large quantities of information
  • Analytical, with a good ability to synthesise and structure conceptual information
